Faughanvale kicked 13 wides, in a game they really should have won all 2 points.

Ciaran Mullan had to be carried off with a serious looking knee injury as Drumsurn were held to a draw by in-form Faughanvale.

Faughanvale got off to a flying start when the inform Simon Green curled over from distance. Drumsurn were not behind for long as Paul Butcher fired over a classy point on the angle.

Drumsurn then opened up the Faughanvale defence but Pearse Mc Nickle fired wide with the goal at his mercy. Drumsurn did find themselves in the lead when Aaron Mc Colghan conceded a needless free and Ciaran Mullan converted.

Martin Mc Guinnes soon brought the scores level with a free of his own and Mark Quinn and Simon Green fired Faughanvale into the lead in a period off dominance for them. Pearse Mc Nickle then charged through the Faughanvale defence and fisted over to reduce the gap to one point and Ciaran Ferris levelled matters up with a point in front of the posts.

Martin Mc Guinnes restored Faughanvales lead from the dead ball, and scored a fine point from play after a superb ball played in by Ryan King. Faughanvale then let Drumsurn back into the game by giving away another silly free in front of the posts, Ciaran Mullan made no mistake.

Drumsurn came out of the blocks fast in the second half as quick scores from Ciaran Mullan and Paul Butcher put them into the lead. The gap could have been extended but for a fine save from Faughanvale keeper Kevin Morrow.

Faughanvale found themselves level when Shaun Cassidy fisted over, from a high ball dropped in by Odhran Mc Kinney. Stephen King fired wide, in a period that Faughanvale were beginning to get on top. A great run throught from Mark Quinn drew a free which Martin Mc Guinnes failed to capitalise on.

Ciaran Mullan put Drumsurn back into the lead with 2 frees in quick succession. Michael Quinn was brought down right in front of the posts and Martin Mc Guinnes made no mistake.

Johnny Irwin fired over from close range to level matters up yet again. Shaun Cassidy was extremely unlucky not to have a goal when he fisted a ball on, it beat Drumsurn keeper Steven Harbinson, but cannoned off the post.

Ciaran Ferris hit a fine score to fire Drumsurn into the lead, but Martin Mc Gunnies under pressure levelled matters up with a late free.
